John Lindsey, CFP®
CEO, Financial Advisor and Founder
John Lindsey is a former apparel industry Senior executive who worked for key brands such as Oshkosh B' Gosh and Jantzen Sportswear. He was with Edward Jones for over 15 years beginning in 1996. His office in Simi Valley was among the top 3% volume offices in the country for Edward Jones. He served as Regional Leader for 65 Edward Jones offices in the south central coast and southern central valley region of California. He founded Lindsey and Lindsey Wealth Management, Inc. in 2012 to be able to better serve his client base with an expanded universe of investment offerings.
Mr. Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Southern California. He studied and obtained his CFP® from the California Institute of Finance at Cal Lutheran University. Named a Limited Partner with Edward Jones in 1999 he also served as a General Partner from 2001-2006. He is a million dollar producer and has been a perennial attendee to the top producers Managing Partner's conferences. In 2010, John and his staff were named recipients of the very prestigious Peter Drucker award at Edward Jones. An award only given to the top 50 offices out of over 12,800 offices for the highest Client Service Excellences scores surveyed by J. D. Power.
He is married to his wife Karen of 37 years and they have three lovely daughters; Christina, Alissa, and Jenna. He and his family attend Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park. John enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, riding his Harley Davidson, and being deeply involved in the Ventura County, Conejo & Simi Valley communities (YMCA, Simi Valley Education Foundation, and United Way of Ventura County).
He is a past director of the UC Santa Barbara Economic Forecast Project in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties; a past president of the Rotary Club of Simi Valley. He has been named to the list of Who's Who in Business and Finance by the Pacific Coast Business Times in 2005 and 2006.
John is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and a Leadership graduate. He serves on the board of the Simi Valley Free Clinic as its Treasurer and is a board member of the United Way of Ventura County.

Christina Lindsey Orta, CFP®
President, COO and Financial Advisor
Christina Lindsey Orta, CFP ® has assumed the role of President and 50% partner of Lindsey & Lindsey Wealth Management as of January 2018. She left the corporate financial world after 10 years to join Lindsey & Lindsey in 2014. Most formerly, Christina was a Vice President of Sales for Walton International Group, a Real Estate Investment and Development company. Since 2007 while working for Walton, she helped the company expand their distribution throughout the United States covering multiple sales territories and eventually serving roughly 1200 Financial Advisors primarily in Southern California from over 60 different Independent Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisory firms. She raised over $70 Million in securitized private equity capital. Christina qualified and was recognized in the President’s Council every year from 2007-2013, often the Top USA producer annually, and she was a member of the elite group of top producers globally. She also helped train and promote numerous other sales reps to become top producers in the company. Throughout her career, she spoke at various industry conferences, providing Advisors and Broker Dealers updates on the regional real estate economies and alternative investment strategies.
Prior to joining Walton, Christina worked for Countrywide Home Loans for nearly 3 years most formerly as a Branch Manager in Chandler, AZ; running a nationwide full service home loans branch. Mrs. Lindsey Orta started in the financial services industry in 2002 at Edward Jones working as a Branch Office Associate and on the Equity Marketing & Trading Desks while completing her degree.
Christina received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She currently holds the securities licenses 7. 63 and 24. In 2013 after completing additional education, and passing the CFP ® board exams, she has obtained the CFP® designation.
Mrs. Lindsey Orta has been married to her amazing husband, Brian Orta, since 2006 and they welcomed their first child, Paige in 2016. Christina is enjoying being a mother and in her spare time she also enjoys collecting and drinking fine wines, gourmet cooking, baking, travel, running half marathons, and spending time with family and friends. Many years she serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Simi Valley in some capacity and is particularly passionate chairing the Constitution Day project, ensuring every 8th grade student in the community gets a personal copy of the U.S. Constitution. Brian and Christina are involved in the ministry at Godspeak Calvary Chapel of Newbury Park, CA and Christina is also a Certified Kingdom Advisor® integrating client’s faith based principles into financial planning.

James L. Cunningham, Jr.

Certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, Jim Cunningham, Jr. has been a licensed attorney for over 20 years. Jim has helped countless families and individuals in all areas of estate planning. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and a Juris Doctor from Whittier College of Law. Jim focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, trust administration, elder law, special needs planning, Medi-Cal/VA benefits planning and more.
Jim’s professional memberships include: California State Bar, Ventura County Bar Association, El Dorado County Bar Association , WealthCounsel, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), California Advocates for Nursing Care Reform (CANHR), Aircraft Owner’s and Pilot’s Association (AOPA), Vistage International and Capital City Trial Lawyer’s Association.
Jim is a California native, devoted husband and father of three children. He and his wife of 21 years enjoy bicycling, and philanthropic community activities.
Alissa Kroeger, CFP®, CAIA®,CKA®
Alissa Kroeger, CFP®, CKA®, CAIA®, BFA™, joined Lindsey and Lindsey Wealth Management in 2018 and has been in the industry for over 10 years. Most recently she worked in corporate finance serving individual clients as a Financial Consultant for Fidelity Investments. Prior to working directly with clients, Alissa utilized her expertise in wholesaling and distribution for various Alternative Investments ranging from: Hedge Funds, Managed Futures, Private Equity, and Real Estate Investments Trusts. As part of multiple capital raises, she has helped in raising over $4 Billion in assets under management.
Alissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from San Diego State University. She currently holds the following securities licenses: Series 7, 65, 66. In addition she is also a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Certified Kingdom Advisor®, obtained her Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® designation in 2016 and is a Behavioral Financial Advisor™.
In 2012, Alissa decided to drop the Lindsey last name and officially become a Kroeger. Since then, she and her husband, John, have had two children, Jackson (6) and Camdyn (3) as well as their Weimaraner, Mumford (7). After living in San Diego for about 14 years, she and her family have returned to her hometown of Moorpark to live close to her family (neighbors, actually). Alissa enjoys cooking, interior design, running half marathons, and spending time with the people she loves.
Jinell has been in the securities industry since 2007, and came on board with John Lindsey in 2009 while he was still with Edward Jones.
Jinell and her husband Mark reside in Simi Valley, and have been married since 2013. Between the two of them they have three sons, two of which are married, and their first grandchild, Wesley was born in September 2017.
Emily started with Lindsey & Lindsey and Ascent Wealth Management at the beginning of 2015, with a strong background in administration, but little to no knowledge in the financial industry. She feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn and grow rapidly in this arena. With goals of furthering her education, Emily hopes to be securities licensed with the Series 7 and 66 soon. Emily got married in 2012 and she and her husband are excited to expand their family in the near future. In spare time, she is very involved in her community church and enjoys going to the movies.
Laura is one of our newest additions to the Lindsey and Lindsey and Ascent Wealth Management Team. She comes with a strong background in the retail and customer service and is very excited to be working in a new industry that is innovative, exciting, and rewarding. She has been married to her husband Bill since 2013 and is a proud Mother of four adult children. She enjoys hiking, backpacking and adventures with her family. Her goal is to zip-line in all the famous places around the world.
Sami joined Lindsey & Lindsey and Ascent Wealth Management in mid-summer of 2019. She graduated from California State University of Channel Islands with her bachelor’s degree in Communications and furthered her education to receive a Certificate of Patisserie Arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. After working as a pastry chef for several years in Westlake Village, she recently began her journey in the financial industry and looks forward to gaining more knowledge in the field. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and sharing her love of food, while also catering desserts in the local community. When she’s not cooking, she likes to venture to the beach or to the San Ynez Valley for a getaway and hopes to travel the world within the next several years.
Devonney joined the Lindsey & Lindsey team in 2017 after graduating summa cum laude from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Business Management. She hopes to continue her education and become securities 7 and 66 licensed in the near future. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with her friends and family.
Lisa began her career in the securities industry with Mark Swartz, Financial Advisor in the Bay Area in June 2016 and came on board with Lindsey & Lindsey and Ascent Wealth Management on 2/1/19. With five years in the financial industry and over 12 years in administration background, Lisa is an asset to the team. Lisa and her husband of 15 years reside in San Ramon with their two sons, Taylor and Jordan. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, dining out, watching movies and shopping.
